Job Summary The EHS Director will be a motivated professional that will lead, create, develop, implement, and manage elements of a company-wide environmental health & safety program. We are looking for a responsible, motivated, seasoned EHS professional with comprehensive experience operating independently and managing environmental, health and safety matters in multiple manufacturing, retail, and distribution facilities. This role will lead a team of EHS professionals in their journey toward Environmental, Health, and Safety excellence. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Human Resources.Job Description ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Develop and implement company-wide Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards Ensure that EHS policy and procedure manuals are available and up-to-date at all times Develop and implement robust and reliable safety management system Gather and coordinate safety and health data from all sites for all applicable regulatory reporting Oversee organizational compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations and any local, state, and federal requirements Delegate workforce EHS training delivery and content development Make critical decisions regarding workers' compensation claims, injury management, and return-to-work strategies Direct the management of environmental risk, including oversight of site SPCC and SWPPP programs Coordinate and engage with regulatory agencies as required Use trended injury data to make risk-based decisions and improvements Implement tools that build and improve upon EHS culture Audit production with regards to characterization and management of waste and guide corrective actions Direct occupational health exposure monitoring Ensure emergency response programs are in place and maintained Develop key performance indicators and critical metrics for the company as they relate to EHS Collaborate with site EHS personnel to continuously improve upon EHS matters Set strategy for waste management, environmental permitting, and monitoring Provide feedback to site EHS professionals on plant, company, and work performance Conduct periodic presentations to senior leadership on company EHS performance Keep abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization Ensure EHS projects are completed on time and within budget EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Seeking EHS professional with 15
years of experience Bachelors degree in environmental, health, safety or similar technical degree First-hand experience with Workers Compensation administration Experience managing EHS programs and elements Excellent ability to communicate with ad influence team members at all levels of the organization Ability to manage direct reports Certification(s) helpful but not required
Salary Range:
$250K -- $500K+
Minimum Qualification
Risk & Quantitative Analysis, Environmental Health & SafetyEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
