This is a full time, benefit eligible position working under the direction of the Library Director.
We are seeking someone with knowledge of graphic design, as well as experience in marketing, communications, and promotion of events and organization branding.
The ideal candidate will also be comfortable working with presenters and the public while maintaining a high standard of service in sometimes stressful situations This position is responsible for performing a mix of professional, technical, and supervisory work, including:
graphic design (Canva and similar) for library promotional materials and branding, maintaining the Library website, planning and hosting events, and working with the public.
Associate Librarians also train, schedule, and lead a team of staff and volunteers in a variety of library-related work, and assist in establishing Library goals and objectives.
Evenings and weekends will be required.
The City provides a comprehensive and competitive benefits package.
The current salary range for Associate Librarians is $40,000 to $52,000 annually.
Individual starting salary generally starts at the lower end of the range, but may depend on qualifications, certifications, and experience.
